What we learned from 48 diabetes screening camps

Over the past three years, DREAM Academy has conducted 48 community screening camps, reaching more than 12,000 patients across urban and rural Uttar Pradesh.

The most consistent finding is the high prevalence of undiagnosed diabetes — often in individuals who had no prior symptoms and no access to routine screening.

Equally important is what happens after screening: counselling, referral, and follow-up are as critical as the initial test.
